I have done a review on the Sustainable Non-Slip Jute Yoga Mat CompleteGrip, and this product does not disappoint! I love the grip on this mat, its construction, and it's great for daily practices. Avoid it if you plan to take classes with your mat, as it has some weight to it, making it difficult to travel with.

I tested out this yoga mat with a couple of poses first, then carried on with my regular practice, I have had it for a couple of weeks now and am happy with it so far.

How I Tested

I received this lovely yoga mat from Complete Unity Yoga. Shout out to them. I started with a couple of basic poses, just to get a feel of how the mat is for me. I then carried on with my routine yoga practices, which is 2-3 times a week; these normally differ between 10-30 minutes at a time, as this suits my schedule.

I would like to point out that I did focus on the grip with this mat, as this has been a previous struggle with my yoga mats in the past.

What I'm Looking For in a Yoga Mat

As mentioned, I have previously struggled with finding good grips on my yoga mats, the mats I've had before tend to scrunch up in certain poses and slide about when I'm in downward dog, leading me to being in a completely different spot to where I started...

The Sustainable Non-Slip Jute Yoga Mat CompleteGrip solved this problem straight away. My grip is very firm on this mat, giving me more confidence and stability in my practices.

That said, I also like a bit of cushioning in my mats, which this one provides support for my poses. I also look for visual aesthetics, and I'm loving the colour of it.

What Not to Use it For

Although this yoga mat is delightful, I don't recommend this mat if you travel to your yoga classes regularly, as it has some weight to it. Complete Unity Yoga do have travel mats for this too, they are more of a lightweight, allowing travel to classes easier with your mat :)

A bit about the Mat

This is an eco-friendly yoga mat made from natural jute fibres, it's a good choice if you want a more environment conscious choice. It’s built to last, and is great for intense daily yoga practice.

What stands out most to me is that the mat is biodegradable, non-toxic, and completely vegan-friendly, which aligns closely with the brand’s values. I absolutely love what their mission is and am in full support.

It’s reassuring to know that my practice isn’t coming at the expense of the environment, making this mat feel like a thoughtful, long-term investment.

Who is This Mat for?

This yoga mat is great for people looking to invest more into their yoga journey, turning from a beginner to an advanced yogi. People want a more eco-friendly option, a better grip on their mat, and a yoga mat that's built to last over time, enduring those more intense practices.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’ve been really impressed with the Sustainable Non-Slip Jute Yoga Mat CompleteGrip. The grip is a huge win for me and has made me feel in my practise more stable and confident, especially during flows. It’s supportive, durable, and looks great too — definitely a mat that feels made for regular use.

It’s a bit on the heavier side, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re constantly carrying your mat to classes. But for home practice or anyone wanting a high-quality, eco-friendly mat that’s built to last, it’s a great choice. If you’re thinking about upgrading your yoga mat, this one is well worth checking out.
